About Us

Arks 'N Barks is a family-run business based in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, offering breed-specific gifts for the people who love their pets — garden flags, mugs, magnets, ornaments, phone chargers, wind spinners and more, each one built around the breed you actually own.

Wayne & Elicia Kessler

Arks 'N Barks and its sister company, Pet Gifts USA, are led by Wayne and Elicia Kessler. Together they've grown the business into a trusted source for breed-specific pet gifts, working directly with artists rather than stock art or AI-generated imagery to bring each design to life.

As the company puts it: "We do not use AI created products. If we sell it, an artist created it and is getting paid for their work."

Artist Tamara Burnett

Many of our favorite designs come from the brush of Tamara Burnett, an award-winning artist who has been drawing animals since she was four years old. She launched her own studio in the late 1990s, developing a signature acrylic painting technique that captures the personality and expression in every subject's eyes.

Her work has hung alongside Thomas Kinkade's at the Cottage Shop Gallery in Placerville, California, and earned her a place in the Wild Wings Art Gallery in Lake City, Minnesota. The Danbury Mint commissioned her for a series of collector's plates featuring Papillons and Dachshunds, and today Pet Gifts USA has licensed several thousand of her breed portraits — dogs, cats, small pets and wild birds — for products sold around the world.

Every Arks 'N Barks item featuring her artwork is a small piece of that same craft: made by an artist, for the people (and pets) who'll love it.
